Bobby Orr Rookie Jersey on Auction

April 8th, 2010 in Hockey by jonathan

A rookie year game-worn jersey from legendary defencemen Bobby Orr was put on auction this past Wednesday through an online memorabilia auction company, Heritage Auctions.

The Bruins jersey, which is known to be 1 of 2 jerseys worn by Orr in the 66-67 season is owned by John Rows from Ontario, Canada.

The Kingston resident got his hands on the valuable jersey in the late 60’s, when his uncle, Garry Young, team medical officer at the time, gave it to him.

Heritage Auctions believes the jersey could fetch upwards of $100 000. If you have extra cash laying around and want something that will surely only gain value, you can bid on the jersey until April 23.
